Tekirova Nature Park lies in the Kemer district of Antalya. The area was declared a nature park on 20 April 2016 and covers twelve hectares. It is sixty-four kilometres from the centre of Antalya and twenty from Kemer.
Among the plants growing in the park are hawthorn, carob, strawberry tree, mock privet, kermes and holm oak, bay laurel, oleander, sage, wild olive, mullein and thyme.
Wild boar, fox, hare, squirrel and weasel live here, and surveys have recorded forty-two insects, five amphibians, eleven reptiles, ten mammals and thirty-four birds.
Tekirova itself is a quarter of the Kemer district with about 2,500 permanent residents, fifty kilometres from Antalya, sixty from the airport and seventeen from Kemer. It became a town in its own right on 20 August 1998 and was made a quarter again under the law passed in November 2012.
The shore at Tekirova holds a blue flag for the cleanness and clarity of its water. The place is ringed by mountains on three sides. The ancient city of Phaselis, the resort of Olympos and the flames of Yanartaş lie nearby, and within the bounds of Tekirova stands Tahtalı mountain, at 2,800 metres one of the highest peaks of the Taurus range and suited to winter sports. The Üç Adalar islands off the shore are used for diving, and Tekirova also holds an eco park described as the first study of its kind in the world in its aim and content.
