The toy museum sits in a traditional Antep house in the historic Bey neighbourhood, restored by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and opened on 6 April 2013. The municipality counts it as one of four toy museums in Türkiye.
Around 700 toys are shown across eight galleries. The range is wide — handmade toys produced between 1700 and 1990, alongside early examples from series based on cartoon, film and fairy-tale characters — and the collection is arranged as a set of galleries rather than a single room. The part children tend to remember is a two-storey cave built on the theme of the world's children. There is also a dedicated area where toy workshops and other events for children are run.
