Our compilation for Edirne, not an official route. The province is the country's north-western corner and this list reaches right across it: the castle at Enez, out where the Meriç meets the Aegean, is a long way from the old mosque in the city.
The Selimiye Mosque and its complex is the reason to come and the only place here on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The city is small and its monuments are close together — the museums, the great mosque and the synagogue are a walk rather than a drive, and the last two say something about what Edirne was before it was a border town.
The Uzunköprü city museum and the fountain at Hacılar Ezanı complete the list. No driving times are given anywhere in this guide. What each place is, and who says so, is on its own page.
