The Fatih Mosque in the Cemaliye quarter of Çorlu was built in 1453 by Daye Hatun, the wet nurse of Mehmed II, and it still belongs to the Mehmed II foundation. It stands within the built-up area of the town, a rectangular building of rubble stone with a small courtyard; the porch is now glazed in. The minaret has a thick shaft and a slender upper section.
The inscription above the entrance records a thorough repair in 1824 by Benderli Mehmet Selim Pasha, grand vizier to Mahmud II, which covered everything but the walls and the minaret. The burial ground in the mosque garden holds Ottoman marble gravestones, among them the grave of members of the Crimean Giray Khan line. The mosque stands where Omurtak Caddesi meets the Çerkezköy road at Borsa Meydanı, a minute or two on foot from the historic municipal building and Uğur Mumcu park.
