The Atatürk House Museum in Kayseri opened in 1983 and displays belongings of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
The building was put up as a house in the nineteenth century and is also known as the İmamizade Raşit Ağa mansion. Atatürk came to the city on 19 December 1919 and stayed two nights here.
The building was registered as immovable cultural property to be protected in 1976, expropriated by the Ministry of Culture in 1978, and turned into an Atatürk House in 1983. It was rearranged on 19 December 1998 and took the form of an Atatürk Museum.
