This is Mimar Sinan's building in his own province: a mosque of 1585 on Cumhuriyet Square in Kayseri, which takes its name — the leaded mosque — from a dome covered entirely in lead. The marble entrance doorway is what catches the eye.
The provincial directorate describes it as one of the rare examples of Ottoman architecture in a city where Seljuk buildings predominate. It is on Cumhuriyet Square in Kocasinan.
