In the city, the Mevlevi lodge, Manisa castle and the Muradiye mosque and complex stand close to one another, with the Mesir nature park and the Manisa Ottoman museum.
East, the Kula volcanic field is at the far end of the province, with the Bin Tepeler burial mounds at Gölmarmara between it and the city. Sardis and the Akhisar Museum complete the list, and both are worth more than a stop on the way past.
