Our compilation for Kocaeli, not an official route, and it could not be ordered: most of its stops have settlement-level positions only in our inventory. The two that are placed, the Gültepe necropolis and Seka Park, stand about three kilometres apart in İzmit, so no distance we could print would describe this route.
Four of the unplaced stops are nature parks — Beşkayalar, Ballıkayalar, Suadiye and Eriklitepe — which means every protected area here sits unordered at the end of the list, including the two canyons the province is best known for.
The museums are unplaced too: the archaeological museum, the Osman Hamdi Bey museum, and the Av Köşkü palace museum, whose source document is the longest on this route.
