The Paşa bath stands in central Aksaray next to the Zinciriye Medrese and the Azmi Milli flour mill. It was built by Hacı Ali Pasha of Ortaköy, chief chamberlain to Abdülhamid II, and it is the only bath in central Aksaray still working and still in its own use. It has separate sections for women and men.
The bath is built of regular cut stone and has six domes in all, two small and four large, over six square rooms. Each room has two iwans facing one another, and the domes rest on arches at the corners. The domes themselves are laid in stone and pierced with small holes that light the interior. The floor was originally marble, but most of it has been taken up and replaced with terrazzo. In the central section used as the entrance is a concave six-sided pool which keeps its original form.
