Oymalık Tabiat Parkı covers 157.21 hectares in the Koyulhisar district of Sivas, forty kilometres north of the town, and was registered on 29 May 2018.
Scots pine and eastern Black Sea fir make up the forest, with hawthorn, dog rose and downy oak among the woody plants and mullein, sage, germander, cornflower, spurge, tragacanth, field eryngo and thistles among the herbs.
The Directorate is explicit that no faunal inventory has been carried out here; what it lists comes from observations made during other work. Among the mammals named on that basis are bear, wolf and wild boar, together with fox, badger, marten, hare, squirrel and mice. The birds of prey include eagles, falcons, sparrowhawks, buzzards and owls. Woodpecker, blackbird, wood pigeon and partridge are the woodland birds named, with ravens and crows, and sparrows of various kinds. Green lizard, tortoise and snakes complete the list.
Lavatories, a children's playground, a stone oven and picnic tables stand on the site, though the park is still under construction. Stated capacity is 4,000 visitors and 1,000 vehicles. Getting there involves two halves: about 20 kilometres from Koyulhisar on the D855, then about 20 kilometres more on an unsurfaced forest road. Sivas is 204 kilometres away and Ordu 146.
