The İnönü mansion stands in the Bahtiyar Bostan quarter of central Sivas and is a Sivas house built in the 1830s by the Gogdunluogullari family. It has three storeys including the ground floor, and a kiosk room. Its interest is who lived here: İsmet İnönü, the second president of the republic, lived in this house between 1891 and 1897 while he was at secondary school.
The municipality of Sivas expropriated the house in 1945 and turned it into a museum, and it was later transferred to the provincial special administration. It has a large garden, and İnönü's belongings and photographs are displayed inside. It is on Ali Baba Caddesi, four hundred metres from the historic town square.
