Karşıyaka Tabiat Parkı covers 23.22 hectares in the Karşıyaka neighbourhood of the Suşehri district of Sivas. Its present status dates from 11 July 2011; before that it had been managed for years under the lesser designation of a Type B recreation ground. Suşehri municipality operates it.
The forest here was planted rather than found. A Scots pine stand was established on the site in 1980, and in 2005 a further planting of the same species was added around it by the provincial environment and forestry directorate together with the district governorship. Brown hare, fox, hedgehog and chukar are among the animals recorded in and around the area.
Stated capacity is 920 visitors and 240 vehicles. The park lies 2.3 kilometres south-west of the town, reached by the road running through the Karşıyaka neighbourhood towards Kışlalar; of that distance 300 metres are asphalt and the remaining 2,000 metres gravel. Suşehri is 125.7 kilometres from Sivas and 118.3 from Erzincan, and the E-80 and D-100 roads pass through the district.
