Check before travelling for this one. The ministry's own page carries two accounts of the museum that do not agree: the description states that the display and arrangement work has not been finished and that the museum has therefore not been opened to visitors, while the information box on the same page lists it as open and free with hours of 10:00 to 16:00 and a ticket desk closing at 15:30.
The two also disagree about where it is. The description places it beside the Cebelibereket Culture Centre in Fakıuşağı Mahallesi, on a site of 6,616 square metres allocated to the ministry; the address field gives Esenevler Mahallesi in central Osmaniye.
What the directorate does is not in doubt. Since 2013 it has carried out survey and registration of sites across the province and its districts, documentation and rescue excavations under the cultural property law, which is the work that will eventually fill the display halls.
