Getting into this castle is unusual: the way up goes through a cave, and in front of the cave there is a stair of forty steps.
The castle stands on a hill commanding Mazgirt from the north. It has been largely destroyed, though much of its walling is still standing, and its date of building is not known. At the highest point there are remains thought to be of a pavilion and a windmill.
