The Koç cedar stands at the Tavşanalanı locality in the Kızılağaç neighbourhood of the Elmalı district of Antalya. Before planning a visit, note that the area around the tree is a strict nature conservation area used only for scientific research.
The tree is 625 years old, 35.4 metres tall and 1.91 metres in diameter; its size, age and exceptional growth are what the Directorate gives as the reasons for its protection. There are no facilities on the site.
The route runs first to Elmalı and then by private vehicle to the Kızılağaç neighbourhood and the Tavşanalanı locality.
