The Aslan juniper stands at the Tekke Boğazı locality within the Tekke neighbourhood, inside the Çığlıkara nature conservation area in the Elmalı district of Antalya. The area around the tree is used only for scientific research.
The tree is 1,725 years old, 23.2 metres tall and 3.03 metres in diameter. Its size, age and exceptional growth are the reasons given for its protection, and there are no facilities on the site.
The route runs first to Elmalı and then by private vehicle through the Çığlıkara conservation area to the Tekke Boğazı locality.
