Kayı Ardıcı is the fourth of the stinking junipers protected at Kayı village in Mihalıççık district, Eskişehir province, and the only one of them without a number in its name; the other three are registered as Kokulu Ardıç I, II and III. All four were declared natural monuments on the same day, 4 April 2001.
This is the youngest of the group, estimated at 520 years against 645, 665 and 730 for the others, and at 12 metres it is the tallest along with the second. Its plot is 0.01 hectares and its stated capacity, 50 visitors, is the largest of the four.
Its trunk diameter is given as 1.30 metres — the same figure the Eskişehir directorate publishes for every monument tree in the province, whatever its species, age or height, so it should not be relied on as a measurement of this tree. No girth is given. The general appearance is recorded as well-formed, on mid-slope ground under the inner Anatolian climate.
The village is 83 kilometres from Eskişehir and the tree stands on the main road through it. Opening hours are 08:00 to 18:00, with room for one vehicle.
