The tomb above the Meteris cemetery at Harput belongs to Hafız Osman Bedrettin, the Islamic thinker known as İmam Efendi, who was born in Erzurum in 1858. His talks were published after his death in two volumes under the title Sohbetname.
The tomb is a single space, square in plan and covered by a large dome, lit by only one small window, with the shrine part separated off by iron railings. It was restored by the provincial governorate in 2012. Around it lie the graves of other notable people of Harput, and the tomb receives a great many visitors. It is in the Harput quarter.
