The tomb is entered from inside the prayer house: the first door leads into the mescit, and the way through to the tomb is from within it. The tomb was restored in 2012.
Four graves lie inside, thought to belong to Ahi Musa Hervi — described as a fighter descended from the line of Mehmed the Conqueror — and to members of his household. It is related that the longest of them is Ahi Musa's, that one of the others belongs to Esseyid Hasan, who came after him, and a third to Seyid Ahmed. The importance of the Ahi Musa mescit, as the source puts it, is that it shows the presence of the ahi brotherhood at Harput. It is in the Harput quarter.
