Görnek Nature Park is in the Çaykara district of Trabzon, declared a nature park on 11 July 2011 and open twenty-four hours. It is run by the Çaykara forest management directorate.
Almost the whole of the park is woodland, and that has allowed a great many plant and animal species to live within it. Among the plants recorded are oriental spruce, Scots pine, eastern Black Sea fir, bearded alder, oriental beech, Anatolian chestnut, beech-trunked maple, aspen, goat willow, rowan, sessile and Istranca oaks, common hornbeam, five-fingered maple, the yellow- and purple-flowered rhododendrons, honeysuckle of the Caucasus, bramble and dwarf elder.
The park lies far from the centre of Çaykara, and the source holds that in the years since it was declared it has not been made widely enough known.
