Hasankeyf carries the part of this list most people come for: the Great Palace, the Great Mosque and the Mor Aho monastery. One thing we will not do is tell you what condition they are in today. The Ilısu dam changed Hasankeyf, and our sources do not say which structures were submerged and which were moved, so their pages say what the sources say and no more. Check before travelling.
North of the city, Kozluk holds Rabat castle and the castle at Hezo. Nearer the city are the Batman Museum and the Mor Kiryakus monastery at Beşiri, and the Memikan bridge completes the list.
One entry needs flagging: our inventory holds both Kozluk Kalesi / Hezo Kalesi and Kozluk (Hezo) Kalesi as separate records, and they are very probably the same castle. We have not merged them — that is an inventory decision, not a writing one — but you should not expect two castles. What each place is, and who says so, is on its own page.
