The Yeşilce and Topçam highland pastures in the Mesudiye district of Ordu take in four yaylas — Kızılağaç, Beyağaç, Kiyiyurt and Çukuralan — and they were declared a tourism centre by council of ministers decision in 1998. This is high summer pasture country rather than a single sight: forest, herbaceous meadow and a rich flora, with more than 170 flower species recorded on Kızılağaç alone.
What draws people in season is the highland culture. Traditional festivals are held on these pastures, and the settlements of summer huts, the obalar, are scattered across them. Mesudiye is one of the richest districts in Ordu for yaylas of this kind. The roads in are asphalt and the drive is straightforward.
