Getting to Sülüklügöl needs your own vehicle, and the last stretch is not short: from the motorway or the D-100, the road runs through the Abant nature park and on to the Taşkesti township and Tavşansuyu village — 62 kilometres — and from Tavşansuyu it is six more to the park's northern boundary.
The site, 803 hectares, was a nature conservation area before it was declared a nature park in 2011; the source gives that decision under two dates, 11 July and 22 November. It is 85 kilometres from Bolu, open 09:00 to 18:00, with capacity for 150 visitors, 50 vehicles and 12 tents.
