The Sultan Fatih Mosque stands on level ground at Cumhuriyet Meydanı in the centre of Şarkikaraağaç, in Isparta province. It was built in 1281: square in plan, with a bagdadi dome under a hipped roof clad in zinc, and a single minaret.
Its inscriptions and the written sources show that it was repaired three times — in 1455, in the reign of Mehmed II, which is where its name comes from, and again in 1786 and 1925.
