The Sırali Mosque in Niğde has no building inscription. The date usually given rests on the fountain of the same name at its southwest corner: the inscription on that fountain records that it was renewed in 1712 in place of an earlier one, which suggests the mosque too dates from around 1712. It has come down through a number of repairs, keeping part of its original character, and is still in use.
It belongs to the group of transverse rectangular mosques with flat wooden ceilings, measuring 9.30 by 12.60 metres outside, and it has no porch. A concrete-block minaret with two balconies was added on the west side recently. Rough-dressed stone was used in the walls, fine-dressed stone in the mihrab, the columns and the arches, and timber in the roof. The building is plain and has no significant decoration. It is in the Sırali quarter, within walking distance of central Niğde.
