The Sipahi cemetery lies about a kilometre south of Evrenbey village in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ, and it is the largest cemetery of its kind in Thrace. The gravestones are sandstone and stand between 3.5 and four metres tall, with no inscription or decoration of any kind on them.
Because they carry nothing written, who set them up is not established; the possibility that they belong to the Avars or the Huns has been raised. Two stones in the cemetery, evidently put up later, are dated 1589 and 1595. Minibuses to Evrenbey run from Malkara.
