Naip castle stands on a high hill four kilometres south-west of the Naip quarter in the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ, commanding the country around it. Its walls are built of small rubble stone and horasan mortar; two of its towers, six to seven metres high, are in sound condition.
The castle was built in the late Roman period and remained in use under the Byzantines. Woodland has grown up around it since. Getting there means taking a minibus from the centre of Süleymanpaşa to the Naip quarter and walking the rest.
