This marble fountain in Tekirdağ belongs to the square-plan type open on four sides. It consists of a pool, a single monolithic pier of square section, and a finial above it. The square pool is made by bringing together four marble slabs, with the monolithic pier standing at its centre on a marble base.
The pier is worked in the Empire manner, and at each of its four corners a Corinthian column is carved; between the capitals is a cloth motif with hanging ends. Each face of the pier carries an inscription of four lines. The fountain is on Atatürk Bulvarı in the Ertuğrul quarter; take the minibuses from the bus station and get off at the shore stop.
