Müze Evliyagil shows work chosen from among the hundreds of pieces collected by Sarp Evliyagil, chairman of the board of Ajanstürk — the series of original prints his profession drew him to, and the large-scale sculptures that set his collection apart — in exhibitions mounted at intervals, each around a different focus, so that the collection reaches the public.
The idea of the museum came about in 2008. Building at İncek between 2014 and 2015 — in what the museum calls a centre far from the centre — gave art in Ankara an exhibition space of 750 square metres spread over three floors, along with a sculpture garden, a film hall and a library.
The museum is at Turgut Özal Bulvarı, Şevket Evliyagil Sokak No 1, Gölbaşı, Ankara.
