Mogan lake lies 25 kilometres south-west of Ankara on the Konya road, and its shore is laid out for a day out: a beach, casinos, restaurants and coffee houses, with a swimming pool by the water. The lake takes boat trips.
The Mogan Park beside it is where the people of Ankara come to picnic and pass the time, and in the hot summer months the lake stands in for the sea as far as it can. Public transport reaches it. The description comes from the provincial guide of 2014, so what is open there now has not been checked.
