The museum announces its subject from the outside. It stands in the centre of Bartın, four floors high, and its façade carries the names of the 791 war dead registered to the province from the First World War onwards.
Inside, a wax figure of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk at life size stands among war scenes built up with further wax figures. Alongside them are the possessions and effects left by people from Bartın killed in terrorist attacks, and the identity tags recording the names of all 791.
