The Mıhlı stream runs on the boundary between Balıkesir and Çanakkale, five kilometres beyond Altınoluk on the road to Küçükkuyu. Going inland from the stream brings you to the Baş Değirmen area, where there are small ponds and waterfalls.
The bridge there, Baş Değirmen, is built in Roman architecture, and the provincial directorate describes it as having been in older times the only road to Troy. Today it gives access to the olive groves of the district and to people walking.
