The Kozanlı Mosque stands on Kozanlı Sokak in the quarter of the same name in Gaziantep. It appears as a masjid in the court registers of 1647 and 1654, which name Ali Bey as its founder.
It is rectangular and built of cut stone. The prayer hall is divided into six bays by two stone piers at the centre, each bay covered by a cross vault. The porch in front is in three sections formed by two piers linked to one another by pointed arches, and the entrance door at its centre is made of the black and white stone particular to the Gaziantep region. The mihrab takes the form of a pointed-arched niche with muqarnas. The minaret is thick, short and massive, with a twisted shaft, and a band of muqarnas and rosettes beneath its single balcony was meant to lighten that heaviness.
