This is the smallest of the three protected kermes oaks at Koruluk, with a trunk about 80 centimetres across, and it stands two kilometres from the centre of Kızılören village rather than the 2.5 kilometres given for its two neighbours. All three were registered on 6 September 2002, and this one covers 0.10 hectares in Dazkırı district of Afyonkarahisar province.
Eighty centimetres is still well beyond the usual size for kermes oak, which is a scrub species, and that is the whole reason for the protection: the directorate registered the tree for its age and girth and describes it as one of the thickest kermes oaks known in Türkiye. It gives no figure for the age it refers to, and none for height.
Kermes oaks and black pine saplings make up the surrounding ground. Nothing has been built at the site and there is no concessionaire; capacity is recorded as 100 visitors and 10 vehicles, with hours of 08:30 to 17:30.
The locality is called Kürdezi, also given as Üçardıçlar-Koruluk.
