The Bininler rocks are on mountainous ground near the village of Senir, in the Şuhut district of Afyonkarahisar, and the provincial directorate describes them as difficult to reach. They were lived in during the Roman and Byzantine periods.
The houses cut into the rock run side by side and one above another, single-storeyed in some places and two or three storeys in others, and they were cut with one room or several: the lower floors for animals, the upper ones for people. Some of the rocks were evidently worked as grave troughs or grave chambers. At the foot of the cliff are the remains of a Byzantine church and monastery.
