The Kapıkaya canyon lies in the village of Kapıkaya in the district of Karaisalı, seventy-two kilometres from Adana and five from the district centre.
The canyon is about two hundred metres deep, and the Çakıt stream, which rises at Ulukışla in Niğde, runs through the middle of it.
It is a piece of natural beauty that anyone fond of walking, of climbing the rock faces or of photography should see. The walking route runs 7,250 metres, four hundred metres of it railed for safety.
The canyon is reached by the vehicles running from the city centre to Karaisalı.
