Belemedik covers 4,349 hectares in the Pozantı district of Adana and was declared a nature park on 2 December 2014. The Çakit stream draws its western boundary and the rocky ground of Akdağ covers the north.
What grows between them changes with height: maquis mixed with red pine across much of the park, then hairy oak with maquis and phrygana, pure red pine forest, black pine with stinking juniper, a mixed forest of Taurus cedar, Taurus fir and black pine, and mountain steppe above. It is nine kilometres from Pozantı and 117 from Adana, open 07:00 to 20:00, with capacity for 5,000 visitors, 500 vehicles and 50 tents.
