The tomb of İsmail Fakirullah stands in the Tillo district of Siirt. It was built in the eighteenth century by his student İbrahim Hakkı of Erzurum after his death. UNESCO added it to the Tentative List for World Heritage in 2015, and a model of the tomb is displayed at Miniatürk in İstanbul.
A mechanism within the tomb throws the light of the morning sun onto the cenotaph for five minutes on 21 March and 23 September each year. The mechanism lost its function during a restoration in 1960 and was made to work again in work carried out in 2011.
A burial ground grew up around the tomb after the death of İbrahim Hakkı and his burial at Aydınlar. In a surface survey of 2005 the gravestones surviving in the tomb and this burial ground were studied and analysed in terms of art history.
