Harşit Tabiat Parkı covers 50.73 hectares across the boundaries of Güvenlik, Doymuş and Çatalağaç villages in the Doğankent district of Giresun, declared on 12 March 2019. Two waterfalls, Şadi and Üzümce, are what the Directorate names as its particular assets, along with its potential for outdoor recreation.
Four-fifths of the site is alder, oak, beech, hornbeam and chestnut; the remaining fifth is mostly plane, ash, willow, poplar, maple, elm, spruce and hazel.
Bear, roe deer, hare, wolf, fox, badger, weasel, beech and pine marten, stoat and jackal are the mammals seen here. Raven, falcon, buzzard, golden eagle, harrier, eagle owl, owl and kite are the birds of prey, and along the streams are bittern, little and grey egret and ducks, with collared dove, rock dove, wood pigeon and woodcock elsewhere. The fish differ by water: the streams hold native trout and chub, while the Harşit river carries chub, carp and barbel.
The park has a shelter, a kiosk, a prayer room with lavatories and a viewpoint, with further building foreseen in the development plan and still under way. Stated capacity is 100 visitors and 10 vehicles. Doğankent is 80 kilometres from Giresun and Çatalağaç a further 5.
