This small square mosque in the centre of Ordu was built between 1890 and 1892, its outer walls of timber and stone. Its inscription was written by Tifli Efendi, a poet of Ordu who also served as the town's mayor.
The source places it on Hükümet Caddesi in one line and gives its address as Kışla Caddesi in the Saray quarter in another; both are in the same part of the centre.
