Göztepe Nature Park lies in Beykoz district of İstanbul, inland from the Bosphorus, and takes its name from the Göztepe quarter beside it. It was declared on 3 October 2013 and covers about 59.03 hectares.
The stands are mostly coniferous. The directorate names maritime pine as the dominant tree, then omits it from the species list it gives, which begins with black pine and continues with catalpa, bay laurel, common ash, sessile oak, kermes oak, strawberry tree, tree heath, bramble, rough bindweed, pampas grass and aubretia. Magpie, carrion crow, sparrow, goldfinch, woodpecker, squirrel, hare, lizards and tortoises are the animals recorded.
It is a day park and nothing more: day-use grounds, toilets, children's play areas and picnic units. Picnicking under the pines, walking on the forest roads, and natural ground for children to play on are what the directorate offers. Capacity is 1,250 visitors and 50 vehicles, with hours of 08:00 to 20:00, and the concession is held by a private company.
From the second Bosphorus bridge, continue towards Kavacık and Çavuşbaşı; the park is on the road running to Mahmut Şevket Paşa.
