The Beykoz Glass and Crystal Museum stands in the Merkez quarter of Beykoz and belongs to the National Palaces administration. It opened on 9 April 2021.
The museum takes its name from the Imperial Glass and Crystal Factory of Beykoz, built in the reign of Abdülmecid among the various works founded as part of the Ottoman empire's moves towards industry in the nineteenth century, and counted as a milestone of the Turkish glass industry today.
The building was put up in the nineteenth century by Abraham Paşa as a stable on his own land. Its grounds were assigned for forty-nine years on 17 April 2018 to the National Palaces administration, which restored it. The grounds run to about 360 decares and hold 117 species of tree.
With 2,000 square metres of enclosed display space, the museum shows examples of Turkish glass art together with works made in Europe for the palaces of the Ottoman empire.
