The detail to look for on this tomb is a row of heads: between the podium and the body run the heads of Medusa, the mythological creature who turned to stone whatever she looked at, a motif met with on tombs of the classical period.
The tomb is dated to the second or third century AD, built of cut stone, with a body rising on a square podium under a cross-vaulted roof and arches on two sides. It is at Elif, in the Araban district, reached by public transport.
