The Döngele hot springs were left under water when the Sir dam was built, and they were brought back into use afterwards through work carried out on the site. They lie 35 kilometres west of Kahramanmaraş, and the provincial directorate counts them among the rare places where nature and healing waters are found together.
What draws visitors, by the directorate's account, is the combination of the water, the air and the view. Buses run out from the centre of Kahramanmaraş.
