Dokuzkardeşler Pine Natural Monument is a single pine tree north of Karacahöyük village in Çerkeş district of Çankırı province, protected on 465 square metres. It was declared in 1994; the page gives no day or month. Its age is estimated at 200 years. The directorate does not describe the tree itself — no height, girth or number of stems appears on the page, and it does not explain the name, which means nine siblings.
The forest around it is mainly pine, with fir, beech, oak, hornbeam, willow and poplar. Medlar, hazel, cornelian cherry, wild service tree and spurge grow among them, with rhododendron, bramble, ivy and ferns in the understorey.
Brown bear, roe deer and wolf head the mammal list, followed by wild boar, jackal, squirrel and snakes. Woodcock, quail, falcon, blackbird, robin, corn bunting, jay, owl and wood pigeon are among the birds, along with migrant species. There are no facilities. Botanical tours, nature and cultural walks, photo safari, picnicking, taking in the view, nature education and wildlife and bird watching are what the directorate lists, using the forest and village roads. Capacity is 50 visitors and 10 vehicles, with hours of 08:00 to 20:00.
The distance from Çankırı to Çerkeş by way of Korgun and Kurşunlu is 85 kilometres, and from Çerkeş to Karacahöyük a further 29; both are asphalt. The last kilometre from the village to the tree is an unsurfaced track. The monument is about 92 kilometres from Çankırı city.
