The mosque at Sögüt was built between 1414 and 1420 by Mehmed I Çelebi, and the provincial directorate counts it among the first examples of the domed type in Ottoman architecture. It is rectangular in appearance and has twelve domes.
It was repaired by Abdülhamid II, and because it was widened during that work it underwent some changes.
