Ayvatbendi is one of nine nature parks inside the Belgrad forest, declared on 11 July 2011, and it takes its name from the Ayvat dam built in 1765 in the reign of Mustafa III, on the Ayvat stream, a branch of the Kâğıthane.
Its size is given twice and differently, 50 hectares in the text and 51 in the data field. From the European side, enter the Belgrad forest at Kemerburgaz and follow the Kemerburgaz-Kurtkemeri route, or enter at Bahçeköy and take the Kemerburgaz road. From the Asian side, take the 34 metrobus from Kadiköy to Zincirlikuyu and continue from there. It is open 09:00 to 20:00, and the capacity is large for a park this size: 12,500 visitors and 750 vehicles.
