This is a district museum in the proper sense: Arnavutköy's own local history museum, set up to keep the district's past, show it and pass it on. The municipality presents it as a way for visitors to read İstanbul's historic fabric and the district's place in it.
It stands at Ozcan Taskinbas Caddesi No 5 in the Hastane quarter of Hadimkoy — the Arnavutköy district in the north-west of İstanbul, not the Bosphorus neighbourhood of the same name. It opens on weekdays, 09:00 to 17:00, and entry is free.
