The park takes its name from the Amazons — the warrior women said to have lived in the Terme district in earlier times. It covers 562.65 hectares and was registered in 2015.
The source describes this stretch of the Black Sea shore as one of the rare points where the sea meets conifers: flood-plain forest, dune and sea ecosystems together. Narrow-leaved ash and alder dominate, with plantations of maritime pine and red pine set among them by hand. It is 90 kilometres from Samsun and 20 from Terme; the nearest airport, Çarsamba, is 38 kilometres away. It is open 09:00 to 19:00, with capacity for 250 visitors and 100 vehicles.
