Alanın Ardıcı is a squat, very thick juniper in Akçalı village, Kemaliye district of Erzincan province: 11 metres tall but 2.97 metres across the trunk and 9.29 metres around it. Its age is estimated at 500 years. One decare of ground was declared a natural monument on 6 September 2002.
The directorate presents the site as one with real potential for nature tourism, listing the tree itself, the views, walking and photo safari as what it offers.
Akçalı village is 22 kilometres from Kemaliye town centre, and the directorate notes that the drive through Kemaliye passes through the canyons the district is known for.
